Privacy Policy

PlayFinder helps families discover verified kids' activities and family-friendly venues across major Canadian metro areas. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information You Provide

You can browse PlayFinder without creating an account. If you create an account, PlayFinder may use your email address, display name, and account identifier to support account-related features.

If you submit a review, PlayFinder may store the review author name, rating, comment, venue identifier, user identifier, and timestamp so the review can appear in the app and venue ratings can be updated.

Saved Places

You can save venues for later. Saved venue identifiers may be stored on your device. If you are signed in, saved venue identifiers may also be synced with Firebase so they can be restored with your account.

Location Data

Location access is optional. If you grant permission, PlayFinder uses your location to show nearby venues, centre map views, and sort activities by distance. You can deny or change location permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Venue Information

PlayFinder displays venue information such as names, addresses, categories, official websites, map links, age and price signals, ratings, and activity types. Venue information comes from public sources, official venue pages, map listings, and curated records.

Advertising

PlayFinder may show ads using Google Mobile Ads. If tracking permission is requested and you allow it, your device advertising identifier may be used to show more relevant ads or measure ad performance. You can deny or change tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Firebase and Google Services

PlayFinder uses Firebase and Google services for app infrastructure, authentication, venue data, maps, and advertising. These providers process data under their own policies and service terms.

Information We Do Not Sell

PlayFinder does not sell personal data. The app is designed so core browsing, searching, filtering, and map discovery can be used without paid purchases.

Data Accuracy

Venue details can change without notice. PlayFinder provides listings for informational convenience only and encourages users to confirm important details with venues before visiting.
